So right off the bat...I'm down for anything that involves brunch. Yes, that could get me into a lot of trouble, but it is what it is, I'm committed to brunch. That being said, when I found out Vital Fitness Studio was treating the Dallas Fitness Ambassadors to a workout AND brunch, I cleared my schedule. Totally worth it. Vital did not disappoint. The newly remodeled Dallas studio is a dream. It exudes exclusivity and a chic vibe that totally hides the fact that you will soon be drenched in sweat and in need of a salt bath & various other means of recovery.
Located adjacent to The Joule, below the Traffic Los Angeles Men’s store at 1608 Main Street, enter through the covered walk way, descend a few stairs and emerge in to their 3,600-square-foot subterranean space (I think that's where the "exclusive" vibe comes in). The space features many of today's top workouts, including, cycle, TRX, yoga & HIIT formats (obvi the addition of a barre workout be the icing on top of an already seriously sweet studio 😜).
And its not just their "sweaty" spaces that are pretty, their "ready" space is just as nice. Just imagine your dream bathroom (plus a bunch of lockers) and you've got their spacious locker room facility. Perfect for post-sweat session selfies & showers.
Once I got over how pretty everything was, it was time to spin. The "rhythm ride", taught by @jroxfitness, comes complete with good music, bad @ss mood lighting, and tons of positive energy. The set up is perfect for an "intimate" ride with you and 30 of your closest friends (or other Dallasites). That only adds to the good vibes. Every bike has a clear view of the instructor so its easy to draw from her energy when yours may be lacking (ie half way through sprints!).
After a brief tutorial on their fancy bikes, we were ready to ride! We sampled the class with a 30 minute ride so I PROMISE after a 60 minute ride you will be sweaty and earned allllll the mimosas!
Next up was the HIIT/Tabata workout in the space next door to the cycle studio. And good thing it was only next door because my post-spin wobbly legs weren't going to get me very far.
Of course our instructor made the demo look easy but don't be fooled...it wasn't! Again, that's where a positive, energetic group of women working out together comes in handy. When I felt like stopping (literally every 15 seconds), I was able to look around the room, see everyone else pushing themselves, and I was filled with the motivation to keep going. It seriously is inspiring.
Last but not least, we finished with a cool down yoga session to stretch out and recover. I'm a huge believer in the importance of stretching post working, especially workouts as physically demanding as cycle and Tabata. Yoga was the perfect way to end and felt like a little treat for my already sore muscles. I'm also a firm believer in the reward system and theres no better way to treat yo self after a workout than brunch!
That's why Vital will be introducing "Crunch & Brunch" to the public starting very soon (keep an eye on their IG @vitalfitnessstudio or stop by the studio for more details). You'll very likely see me there! In the meantime, enjoy their generous offer of TWO FREE classes of your choice! That's right! Here's your chance to #TrySomethingNew 👌🏽.
