If you haven't heard about Barre & Bites...where have you been?! ;) But really, if you hadn't heard or were unable to attend, this blog is for you! After months of planning and prepping, Ginger Harper (TheGingerMarieBlog.com) and I were able to pull off an awesome fitness and lifestyle event. The best part wasn't the awesome view of The Margeret Hunt Hill Bridge and downtown, or the sweet swag bags and raffles or even the workout; the best part was seeing so many Dallasites comes together to support a great cause.
With the help and generous donations of so many, we raised 2700$ for Movemeant Foundation.
Their mission is to empowers thousands of young women across the country to use movement—running, dancing, biking and more—as a form of self-expression that enables them to emotionally and psychologically connect to their bodies. They learn self-esteem, build positive body image and begin to uncover the best version of themselves. With such a great cause, its no wonder so many people showed up and supported us. From the beginning, everyone was full of energy and ready to work. But this event was about more than a workout. Barre & Bites was about community. Ginger & I both love Dallas and wanted an event that would bring our community together. And we did!
The post workout festivities included brunch options from Lyfe Kitchen and Unrefined Bakery, as well as my favorite pressed juice from Roots Juices! And, while everyone enjoyed their "bites", took advantage of the view with super cute pics & shopped the Lorna Jane Pop Up Shop, we handed out some pretty amazing swag bags and over 20 raffle prizes!
With so many smiles and good vibes, I think its safe to say Barre and Bites was a success, thanks to literally, every single person who contributed or took part in this event in any way. I couldn't be more grateful. Annnnd...Ginger and I are excited to take all that we learned through this experience (good and bad lol) and bring Barre & Bites on the Bridge, back next year bigger and better!!
And in the meantime...while I recover from all the excitement of the last couple months (Kwestival just happened y'all! It wasn't that long ago!) I'll be traveling - which means airport, hotel, all things travel workouts/videos coming your way!
